the electric heating
element.
Do
not
let the
thermostat
or
thermometer [2]
touch the pan,
or
you will
get
a
false
reading.
Remove the two bolts [1], thermostat [2] and
0-ring
[3]
from the water pump cover [4].
THERMOSTAT INSPECTION
Visually inspect the thermostat [1] for damage.
Replace the thermostat if it stays open at room
temperature.

Heat a container
of
water with an electric heating
element for 5 minutes.
Suspend the thermostat
in
heated water to check its
operation.
