DRIVE PULLEY/DRIVEN PULLEY/CLUTCH
FT CRANKCASE COVER
REMOVAL

Remove the left side cover (page 2-8).
Remove the bolts [1], rear brake cable clamp [2] and
left crankcase cover [3].
Remove the dowel pins [1] and gasket
[2]
from the left
crankcase.
BEARING INSPECTION/
REPLACEMENT
INSPECTION
Turn the inner race
of
the bearing with your finger.
The bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.
Also check that the bearing outer race fits tightly
in
the
left crankcase cover.
Replace the bearing if the inner race does not turn
smoothly, quietly, or if the outer race fits loosely
in
the
left crankcase cover.
REPLACEMENT
Remove the snap ring [1] from the left crankcase cover
groove.
