generate a gap between the
poppet (4) and the valve housing (5). The pressure-fed
oil flows to tank port through the gap so that pressure
rise is restricted.
The relief valve setting pressure can be adjusted by
turning the adjusting screw (1).

This power steering
is
equipped with a direct-acting
relief valve to restrict the maximum pressure
in
the
hydraulic circuit and to prevent breakage of the hydraulic
equipment.
When the pressure in the hydraulic circuit exceeds
the relief valve setting pressure in such a case that the
maximum steering angle of the front wheels is reached
