The pressure type cap
is
installed
on
the radiator,
which prevents the pressure difference between the
inside and the outside of the radiator from deforming the
radiator.
(A) At high pressure
(higher than 88 kPa, 0.9 kgf/cm
2
,
13 psi)
When the water temperature rises and the pressure
in
the radiator increase above the specified pressure, the
pressure valve
(1)
opens to reduce the internal pressure.
(B) At negative pressure
When the water temperature falls and a vacuum
is
formed
in
the radiator, the vacuum valve

opens to
allow the air to enter the radiator.
