(2) Fuel Filter
1 ENGINE
The fuel filter is installed between the fuel tank and
fuel
lift pump, and serves to remove dirt and impurities
from the fuel.
Fuel from the fuel tank enters the outside of the filter
element (2) and passes through the filter element under
its own pressure. As it passes through, the dirt and
impurities
in
the fuel are filtered out, allowing only clean
fuel to enter the interior of the filter element. The fuel
exits from the outlet of the filter bracket
(1)
and
is
sent to
the fuel lift pump.
And
to prevent the fuel from flowing out when the
element was removed, the valve
(4)
is installed
in
this
filter.
