Piston
1. Press the washer (4) lightly by the hand made jig (see page
G-77), and remove the external circlip (3).
2. Remove the springs (7).
3. Draw out the piston (5) using a air pressure.
NOTE
• Ten springs for one side.
• The passage holes for the piston are beside the feather key
groove.
(When reassembling)
• Apply enough transmission fluid to seal rings (6).

Main Shift Rod, Range Shift Rod and Main Shift Lever Bracket
1. Disconnect the main shift rods (1) and range shift rod (2) from
the shift cover (3).
2. Remove the main shift lever bracket (6).
3. Remove the main gear shift switch cover (4) and disconnect the
main gear shift (6th) switch connector (5).
(When reassembling)
• See page 2-S11 for adjusting the main shift rods (1) and range
shift rod (2).
