7.3 Profiling of ultrafiltration rate
There are three available profiles for adjusting the ultrafiltration rate.
● Linear mode
● Step mode
● Interval mode
Changes in the ultrafiltration rate are determined by:
● total UF volume.
● treatment time.
● starting value for the UF rate.
● in Step mode: No of steps.
● in Interval mode: No of intervals.
Based on these parameters, the machine will perform an adjustment of the UF rate
during the treatment time when profiling has been activated.
Before activating a profile for ultrafiltration rate, set the patient’s ultrafiltration volume
and treatment time.
Always check the ultrafiltration profile settings after changing ultrafiltration volume or
treatment time when a profile is active, since such changes affect the ultrafiltration
rate.
