6.2.9 Manual jog (inching mode)
The "manual jog" funcon enables manual traversing of the drive ("inching mode").
"Manual jog" can be acvated via 2 control signals in the technology applicaon. "Manual jog"
is possible in the posive and negave
direcons.
•
As long as the c
ontrol bit is set, the drive moves.
•
If both requests are set simultaneously, the drive stops.
•
If the reference is known and the soware limit switches are acvated, posioning to the
c
orresponding soware limit switch is carried out.
Excepon: If the manual jog has been stopped manually before this by reseng the con-
trol inputs, a posioning to the corresponding soware limit switch is aborted.
The drive brakes with the set deceleraon to the posion of the corresponding hardware
limit switch.

If the reference is not known or the soware limit switches are not acvated, the axis only
stops at the hardware limit switch.
