23.2.2 Other Piston Engine Applications
In addition to the engines supported by Garmin sensor kits (see Section 23.2.1
) the G3X system's
engine/airframe inputs can be configured for use with a variety of other engine types.
Rotax FADEC Sensors - The G3X system is capable of monitoring the following engine parameters from
the Rotax 912iS/915iS FADEC digital interface, when connected to the dedicated FADEC CAN interface
on a GEA 24:
•RPM
• Manifold pressure
• Manifold air temperature
• Oil pressure
• Oil temperature
• Exhaust gas temperature
• Coolant temperature
•Fuel flow
• ECU bus voltage

Use UMA N1EU70D differential sensor for fuel pressure, see Section 23.3.5.1
.
Lycoming iE2 Sensors - The G3X system is capable of monitoring the following engine parameters from
the Lycoming iE2 FADEC digital interface, when connected via a GEA 24:
•RPM
• Manifold pressure
• Oil pressure
• Oil temperature
• Exhaust gas temperature
• Cylinder head temperature
• Turbine inlet temperature
• Fuel pressure
• ECU bus voltage
