3.6.7 View Event Log
In the PowerMACS system events could happen that the operator should be informed of. These can be of
following types:
Events that do not belong to any of the specific categories below.
Operator log-in and log-out, failed log-in attempts
Emergency or Machine stop of station
Tightening application errors, ”Torque high”, ”Angle low” etc.
Abnormal situation, hardware breakdown etc.
Changed parameter. Event contains additional information, like
parameter, station, spindle, program etc.
Hardware related errors, servo failure etc.
Internal communication errors, etc.
No response, to many retransmissions, etc., when communicating with
external equipment.
SPC events, "7 up", "7 down", etc.
Erroneous configuration detected during run mode, e.g. missing
parameters, etc.
All events are also classified by their Severity. Severity is one of the following:
Events that only informs the user of some activity, for example "Power
on".
Events that may indicate unexpected behavior, for example "Machine
stop".
Severe errors in the system or events that indicate that cycle failed, the
error might be repairable.
Num. Id. above is the numerical identity of the respective Event Type. This value is used when events are
reported to binary devices. See Layout of Events for a complete description of the binary format of events.
All events are stored in an Event Log, which can be viewed using ToolsTalk PowerMACS.
