2.5 Adjusting door

Vehicle must be standing on its wheels to enable rear door to be adjusted.

The rear door is adjusted correctly if the gaps/shut lines are even all around, the door is not too deep or
does not stand proud and all contours align when the is door closed.

After installing or adjusting, carry out corrosion protection measures to hinge and bolts.
To be able to adjust gaps correctly, loosen bolts -5, 6, 9 and 12-
on B-pillar. For bolt -5- lower B-pillar trim must be removed: ⇒
General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 70 ; Side panel trims;
Removing and installing lower B-pillar trim . Socket - 3410- can
be used.
Other measures such as raising the door have no effect. Subse‐
quent pressure from above will cause the door to sack again.
In order to adjust for flushness, bolts -2, 3 and 10- must be loos‐
ened.
