2.3 Removing and installing rear lid
2.3.1 Removing
– Remove rear lid trim ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep.
gr. 70 ; Rear lid trim; Removing and installing rear lid trim
(saloon)
– Disconnect connectors from all electrical components.
– Loosen bolts -3- for hinges -2- on left and right (do not unbolt
completely).
Further removal requires the help of a second mechanic.
– Now, and only now, can bolts -3- be unbolted.
– Guide out electrical wiring through opening beneath left hinge
of rear lid -1-.
– Guide out electrical wiring (if there is any) through opening
beneath right hinge of rear lid -1-.
– Remove rear lid -1- from hinges -2-.
