2.17 Removing and installing carrier unit
WARNING
Remove or install drive for tilting/sliding sunroof glass panel
only when sunroof is closed ("0" position ).
The requirements for removing and installing drive are: Engine
not running and ignition off, key not in ignition and door open.
2.17.1 Removing
Note
When working on airbag ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep.
gr. 69 ; , observe the general safety regulations for work on air‐
bag, belt tensioner and battery isolator units (pyrotechnic com‐
ponents) .
– Remove moulded headliner ⇒ General body repairs, interior;
Rep. gr. 70 ; Roof trim .
Note
Ensure when removing the assembly unit that the assembly unit does not come into contact with the curtain
airbag.
