3.6 Removing and installing lock cylinder
housing
Note
Removal and installation is described for the right-hand lock cyl‐
inder housing only. Apply the same instructions for the left-hand
lock cylinder housing as appropriate.
3.6.1 Removing
• Lock cylinder housing cover cap is removed ⇒ page 105 .
– Lever out cover cap -4- in front of bolt -3-.
– Pull out door handle -1- in direction of -arrow- onto stop and
unscrew bolt -3- until lock cylinder housing -2- can be pulled
out.
– Pull lock cylinder housing -2- out of door handle mounting
bracket at right angles.
Note
Door handle stops in “open” state. Try not to push door handle in,
as otherwise mounting bracket will break off and a removed door
handle can no longer be installed.
3.6.2 Installing
Door handle must protrude from door in pulled out state -arrow-.
– Insert lock cylinder housing -3- in mounting bracket perpen‐
dicular to door.
– Screw in bolt -3- for mounting bracket.
Door handle -1- folds down onto door automatically.
Note
During installation, lock cylinder housing must be pressed against
outer door panel.
The remaining installation steps are carried out in the reverse se‐
quence of removal.
• It is essential that the function then be checked with the door
open.
