13.8.2 Installing rear wheel housing trim
– Prepare bonding surface on wheel housing -5- for bonding
⇒ page 443 .
– Check grommets for damage and renew if necessary.
– Feed rear wheel arch trim -1- under side member extension
-4- -arrow a-.
– Align rear wheel arch trim -1- and remove protective film from
adhesive tapes -6-.
– Press rear wheel arch trim -1- firmly on.
– Tighten bolts from below -7- to specified torque of 2 Nm.
– Minimum curing period ⇒ page 444
13.9 Preparing body component for bonding
– Remove existing adhesive residues of double-sided adhesive
tape with adhesive remains remover - VAS 6349- .
– The cleaning guidelines for surrounding components are to be
observed ⇒ page 444 .
