1.22 Fitting instructions
1.22.1 Installation instructions for all windows
– Apply adhesive sealant all around window keeping at right an‐
gles to window.
WARNING
Window must be installed within 10 minutes, or adhesive prop‐
erties of glass adhesive will be impaired.
Adhesive bead should not be applied too thick and windows
should not be pressed too forcibly on body flange. Windows no
longer have sealing lip and therefore excessive adhesive will
be visible in the joint area.
♦ With help of two suction lifters (V.A.G 1344) install glass panel
in window cut-out, centre and press in to spacing lip.
♦ Replace any stickers (e.g. for airbag) which may be installed.
