Contact check measurement connections
The contact check function can be used to verify satisfactory contact resistance to the device under
test (DUT) at both the front and rear panels of the Model 2461. Contact check can be run with the
instrument in either 2-wire or 4-wire mode. If you run contact check in 2-wire mode, make sure to
change the source-measure unit (SMU) to 4-wire (remote sense) mode before measuring to ensure
that your measurements are made correctly.
The high, low, and guard source-sense pairs are tested when contact check is enabled. To get the
result of the contact check operation for each of these connections, use the smu.contact.checkall()
(on page 8-103) or :SYSTem:CCHeck:ALL? command. The following figure shows contact check
connections to a DUT.
