Launch Issue
5. Remove the bypass tray retard pad, Figure 4.
a. Remove the spring (1).
b. Release the bosses (2), then remove the bypass tray retard pad.

Replacement
1. The replacement is the reverse of the removal procedure.
2. If new bypass tray retard pad is installed, enter dC135 HFSI Counter. Reset the HFSI
counter 954-805.

Removal
WARNING
Switch off the electricity to the machine. Refer to GP 10. Disconnect the power cord
from the customer supply while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Electricity
can cause death or injury. Moving parts can cause injury.
CAUTION
If the L/H cover is removed for a long period of time, remove the drum cartridge, REP 90.4.
1. Remove the bypass tray, REP 70.2.
2. Pull out tray 1. Remove the screw (1) that secures the hinge front cover, Figure 1.
