Removal
WARNING
Switch off the electricity to the machine. Refer to GP 10. Disconnect the power cord
from the customer supply while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Electricity
can cause death or injury. Moving parts can cause injury.

CAUTION
Observe ESD procedures during this procedure.
1. Remove the upper rear cover, REP 28.5.
2. Remove the lower rear cover, REP 28.6.
3. If the machine has an HDD assembly installed, remove the HDD assembly, Figure 2:
a. Disconnect the connectors (1).
b. Remove the HDD assembly (2).

4. If the machine had an HDD assembly installed, remove both screws (1), then the HDD
bracket (2), Figure 3.

5. Disconnect the FFC cable, Figure 4:
a. Carefully disconnect the FFC cable (1) by releasing the side clips.
b. Pull down the FFC cable (2).
