9 To assemble the pump plunger and bottom housing, do the steps that follow:
9.1 Install the top spring carrier (005, Figure 10-16) and the compression spring
(002).
9.2 Put the plunger (003) into the bottom spring carrier (006).
9.3 Apply clean diesel oil to the pump plunger (003).
9.4 Put the pump plunger (003) and the bottom spring carrier (006) in position in the
top housing (007). Make sure that the two drivers of the pump plunger (003)
engage with the regulating sleeve (004).
9.5 Apply oil to the new O-ring (008).
9.6 Put the O-ring (008) on the top housing (007).
9.7 Put the bottom housing (009) on to the top housing (012).
9.8 Tighten equally the Allen screws (013) to compresses the compression spring
(002).
9.9 Make sure that the toothed rack (011) moves freely.
