Status Indicator RAPs
009-360 Developer Fan RAP
Control Logic detects the signal, Fan Alarm (L) +5 VDC.
Procedure
Access the Digital Output Test (GP 2). Enter code 61. Press the Item/Enter button. The
Developer Fan energizes.
YN
There is +24 VDC from pin 4 to pin 1 on J 82.
YN
Disconnect J 82. There is +24 VDC from pin 4 to pin 1 on J 82.
YN
Go to Flag 1. Check for an open circuit. If the wires are OK, replace the MCU
PWB (PL 11.2).
Replace the Developer Fan (PL 11.1).
Replace the Developer Fan (PL 11.1).
Access the Digital Output Test (GP 2). Enter code 60. Press the Item/Enter button. The
Developer Fan runs faster.
YN
Go to Flag 2. Check for an open circuit. If the wire is OK, replace the MCU PWB (PL
11.2).
There is less than 1 VDC from pin 2 to pin 1 on the Developer Fan Connector, J 82.
YN
The problem appears to be intermittent. Go to Figure 1. Check the wiring for loose or
damaged connectors, pinched wires, or contamination. If the wires are OK, replace the
Developer Fan (PL 11.1). If the problem continues, replace the MCU PWB (PL 11.2).
Disconnect J 82. There is +5 VDC from pin 2 to pin 1 on J 82.
YN
Go to Flag 3. Check for a short circuit to frame ground. If the wire is OK, replace the MCU
PWB (PL 11.2).
Replace the Developer Fan (PL 11.1).
