Repairs and Adjustments
Initial Issue
REP 1.10 ESS Fan

Removal
WARNING
To avoid personal injury or shock, do not perform repair activities with the power switch
on or electrical power applied to the machine.
1. Switch off the machine power and disconnect the machine Power Cord.
2. Remove the Top Cover Assembly (REP 14.4).
3. Remove the Right Cover (REP 14.9).
4. Remove the ESS Fan (Figure 1).
Replacement
CAUTION
Ensure that the wire harness is not pinched when installing the harness.
1. Reinstall the ESS Fan in the reverse order of removal.

Removal
WARNING

on or electrical power applied to the machine.
1. Switch off the machine power and disconnect the machine Power Cord.
2. Remove the Top Cover Assembly (REP 14.4).
3. Remove the Right Cover (REP 14.9).
4. Remove the ESS PWB (REP 1.9).
5. Remove the Controller Chassis (Figure 1).
Replacement
1. Reinstall the Controller Chassis in the reverse order of removal.

Disconnect the

upper screws

Loosen the
four lower
screws

Open the Bypass Tray /
Registration Assembly

Lift to disengage,
then remove the
Controller Chassis
