Initial Issue
REP 5.9 ADF Exit Motor

Removal
WARNING
To avoid personal injury or shock, do not perform repair activities with the power switch
on or electrical power applied to the machine.
1. Switch off the machine power and disconnect the machine Power Cord.
2. Remove the ADF Front Cover and Rear Cover.
3. Remove the ADF Exit Motor. (Figure 1)

Replacement
1. Perform the procedure for removal in reverse. Pay close attention to the following steps.
2. Install the motor by aligning the previously scribed mark.
3. Make sure that the belt is properly engaged with the pulley and drive gear.

Use a scribe
to mark the
Exit Motor
bracket (top
and bottom)

Disconnect
the connector
from the PWB

Loosen one
screw
5
Remove one
screw
3
Remove the wire harness
from the clamps
6
Remove the ADF Exit Motor
(together with the Belt)
