Initial Issue
IQ16 Repeating Bands, Streaks, Spots, and Smears RAP
Procedure
Measure the distance between the repeating defects. Locate the distance on the table below.
Perform the indicated repair actions

Check/adjust the Developer Roll Spacing (ADJ 9.1).
Check for damage or contamination to gears on shafts
of Rotary Motor, Developer Clutch and Dispense
Clutch (PL 10.1).
28 mm. Developer Magnet Roll Check Developer roll bias for floating or shorting out.
Replace Developer Housing(PL 6.2) if required.
44 mm. BCR Roll Replace the Copy/Print Cartridge (PL 5.1).
59 mm. BTR 1 Roll Check for intermittent bias contact to Copy/Print Car-
tridge.
Replace the Copy/Print Cartridge (PL 5.1)
88 mm. BTR 2 Backup Roll
BTR 2 Roll
Check the BTR 2 Assembly for damage or contamina-
tion. Clean, repair or replace as required (PL 7.1).
Replace the IBT Assembly (PL 7.1).
90 mm. Feed Roll TBD
134 mm. Fuser Heat Roll
Fuser Pressure Roll
Remove the Fuser Assembly. Check the rolls for dam-
age (nicks, wear, or cuts) or contamination. Clean or
replace as required (PL 8.1).
Check the Fuser Nip (ADJ 10.1).
Go to the 010-701 RAP.
264 mm. Photoreceptor Drum Check the surface of the drum for contamination or
damage. Clean or replace the Copy/Print Cartridge as
required. (PL 5.1)
