Repairs and Adjustments
Replacement
1. Perform the procedure for removal in reverse. During replacement, pay close attention to
the following step.
2. The One Way Clutch is attached to the Gear. Install the Gear so that the shaft rotates
freely in counterclockwise (CCW) direction, and it is locked in the clockwise (CW) direc-
tion. (Figure 3)

Removal
WARNING
To avoid personal injury or shock, do not perform repair activities with the power switch
on or electrical power applied to the machine.
1. Switch off the machine power and disconnect the machine Power Cord.
2. Remove the ADF Front Cover.
3. Remove the ADF Rear Cover.
4. Reduce the tension of Nudger/Feed Roll Drive Belt. (Figure 1)

motor position, then
remove the three screws on
the Drive Motor

Move the Drive Motor in
the direction indicated

Loosen the screw
holding the Belt
Tension Idler Roll,
raise the Idler
Roll, and tighten
the screw

Loosen two
screws and
reduce the belt
tension
