Warning when themaximum permissible
speed is exceeded
The system can warn youifyou unintentionally
exceed themaximum permissible speed. To do
this, youcan specify in themultimedia system by
howmuchthe maximum permissible speed can
be exceeded beforeawarning is issued. Youcan
specify whether thewarning is to be justavisual
warning or an audible one as well.

SinceTraffic Sign Assistalso uses thedata

TrafficSign Assist is notavailable in all countries.
If it is unavailable, display 1 is shown in the
speedometer.
System limitations
The system maybeimpaired or maynot function
in thefollowing situations:

The system is affected by poor visibility,e.g.
due to insufficient illumination of theroad,
highlyvariable shade conditions, or due to
rain, snow, fogorheavy spray

The system is impaired by glare, e.g.from
oncomingtraffic, direct sunlightorreflections

The system is affected by dirtonthe wind‐
shield in theareaofthe multifunction cam‐
era, or because thecamera is fogged up,
damaged or covered

The traffic signsare hardtodetect, e.g.due
to dirt, because they arecovered, due to
snoworinsufficient lighting

The information in thenavigation system's
digital map is incorrect or out-of-date
R
The system is affected by ambiguous signs,
e.g.trafficsigns on construction sites or in
adjacent lanes
