Makesurethe towrope does not

Markthe towrope in themiddle, e.g.
withawhitecloth (30 x30cm). This
makes other road usersaware that a
vehicle is being towed.

Observe thebrake lamps of thetowing
vehicle while driving. Alwaysmaintain a
distance that ensures thetow rope does
notsag.

Do notuse steel cables or chains to tow
your vehicle. Otherwise, youcoulddam‐
agethe vehicle.

Deactivateautomatic locking (/ page46).

Do notactivatethe HOLD function.

When your vehicle is then towedaway, signifi‐
cantly moreeffortmay be required to steer
and brakethan is normally required.
