jumper cable,slide thered protectivecap on
jump-start connection point 1 back witha
clockwiseturn.

Connect thepositiveterminal clamptothe
positiveterminal of jump-start connection
point 1.
#
During starting assistance: startthe engine
of thedonor vehicle and letitrun at idle
speed.
#
Connect thenegativeterminal of thedonor
batterytothe ground point of your ownvehi‐
cle withthe jumper cable/charging cable.
Begin withthe donor battery.
#
During starting assistance: startthe engine
on your ownvehicle.
#
When charging: startthe chargingprocess.
#
During starting assistance: letthe engine
runfor afew minutes.

During starting assistance: beforediscon‐
necting thejumper cable, switchonanelec‐
trical consumer on your ownvehicle, e.g. the
rear window heater or lighting.
When thestartingassistance/charging processis
complete:
#
First,remove thejumper cables/charging
cables from theground point and negative
terminal of theother vehicle's battery, then
from thepositiveterminal of jump-start con‐
nectionpoint 1 and thepositiveterminal of
theother vehicle's battery. Eachtime,begin
at thecontacts on your ownvehicle.
The redprotectivecap springs backtoits ini‐
tial position when positiveterminal clamp 2
is disconnected from jump-startconnection
point 1.
