Overviewofrouteguidancetoanoff-road
destination
An off-road destinationiswithin thedigital map.
The map contains no roads that lead to thedesti‐
nation.
Youcan enter geo-coordinates or athree word
address foroff-road destinations on themap.
Routeguidance guides youfor as long as possible
withnavigation announcements and displays on
roads that areknown to themultimedia system.
Shortlybeforeyou reachthe lastknown position
on themap, youwill hear the"Please followthe
direction arrow" announcement, forexample. The
displayshows adirection arrowand thelinear
distance to thedestination.

location to adestination
In an off-road position, thecurrent vehicle posi‐
tion is located within thedigital map on roads
that arenot available.
Thesedisplays appear when routeguidance
begins:

tion to thedestination.
When thevehicle is backonaroad known to the
multimedia system, routeguidance continues as
normal.
Overviewofoff-roadstatus during routeguid‐
ance
Due to roadworks,for example, theremay be dif‐
ferences between thedataonthe digital map and
theactual course of theroad. In suchcases, the
multimedia system will temporarily be unable to
locatethe vehicle's current position on thedigital
map. The vehicle is off-road.
When thevehicle is off-road, thefollowing dis‐
plays areshown:
