instrument display provides informationonthe
remaining time or distance before thenext
service due date.
Youcan hide this service messagebyusingthe
backbutton on theleft-hand side of thesteering
wheel.
Youcan obtain further information concerning
theservicing of your vehicle from aqualified spe‐
cialistworkshop, e.g. an authorized Mercedes-
Benz Center.

Special service requirements
The prescribed service intervalisbased on nor‐
mal vehicle use. Maintenance work will need to
be performed moreoften than prescribed if the
vehicle is operated under arduous conditions or
increased loads.
Examples of arduous operating conditions:

regular city driving withfrequent intermediate
stops

mainly short-distance driving
R
frequent operationinmountainousterrain or
on poor road surfaces

whenthe engine is oftenleftidling forlong
periods

operation in particularlydusty conditions
and/orifair-recirculation modeisfrequently
used
In these or similar operating conditions, have the
interior air filter,engineair cleaner,engineoil and
oil filter etc. changed morefrequently.Ifthe vehi‐
cle is subjected to higher loads, thetires mustbe
checkedmorefrequently. Further information can

Batterydisconnection periods
The ASSYSTPLUSservice interval displaycan
onlycalculatethe servicedue date when the
batteryisconnected.

If youopen thehood when theengine has
overheated or during afireinthe engine com‐
partment, youcouldcomeintocontact with
hotgases or other escaping operating fluids.

Beforeopening thehood, allowthe
engine to cool down.

partment, keep thehood closed and call
