To ensurethe longevity and performanceof
theengine, onlyunleaded regular gasoline
maybeused.
Note that thehigher quality premium grade
gasoline can be refueled at anytime.
If youare usingdrums or canisters to refuel the
vehicle, youshouldfilter thefuel beforefilling.
This will prevent malfunctions in thefuel system
due to contaminated fuel.
Usually youwill find information aboutthe fuel
grade on thefuel pump. If thereisnoidentifica‐
tion on thefuel pump, consult agas station
attendant.

Only add cleaning additives recommen‐
ded by Mercedes-Benztothe fuel.
Mercedes-Benz recommends using brand-name
fuels with additives.
In somecountries, theavailable fuel maynot con‐
tain sufficient amounts of additives. Deposits
could buildupinthe fuel injection system as a
result.
In this case, in consultation withanauthorized
Mercedes-Benz Center,the fuel should be mixed
withthe cleaning additiverecommended by
Mercedes-Benz.
Youmustobservethe notesand mixing ratios
indicatedonthe container.
