Lockthe vehicle withthe key.
The tow-away alarmisautomaticallyarmed
afterabout40seconds:

Open thevehicle withthe key.
The tow-away alarmisdeactivated.
The tow-away alarmisonlyarmed when thefol‐
lowing components areclosed:
R
thedriver's door and thefront-passenger
door
R
theside doors
R
therear-end doors
Deactivating
#
Switchoff thepower supply (/ page104).
#
Press button 1.
When thebutton is released, indicator lamp
2 in thebutton lights up forapproximately
five seconds.
#
Lockthe vehicle withthe key.
The tow-away alarmisdeactivated.
The tow-away alarmremainsdeactivated until
youlockthe vehicle again.
Deactivatethe tow-away alarmwhen lockingyour
vehicle in thefollowing situations:
R
when loadingand/or transportingthe vehicle
on aferry or car transporter, forexample
R
when parkingthe vehicle on amovable sur‐
face, suchasasplit-levelgarage
This will prevent false alarms.
Interior motion sensor
Function
If theactivated theinterior motion sensor detects
motion in thevehicle interior,avisual and acous‐
tic alarmistriggered. This can happen if some‐
one reaches intothe vehicle interior,for example.
Activating/deactivatingthe interior motion
sensor
Activating
#
Close theside windows.
#
Makesurethat nothing (suchasmascotsor
coat hangers) is hanging on theinside rear‐
viewmirrororonthe grab handles on the
headliner.This will prevent false alarms.
#
Lockthe vehicle withthe key.
The interior motion sensor is activated after
approximately 30 seconds.
The interior motion sensor is onlyactivated when
thefollowing components areclosed:
R
thedriver's door and theco-driver door
R
theside doors
R
therear-end doors
Deactivating
#
Unlockthe vehicle withthe key.
The interior motion sensor automatically
switches off.
Deactivating
#
Switchoff thepower supply (/ page104).
