Afterunlocking thevehicle withthe Smart‐
Key.

Afterpressing thestart/stopbutton withthe
SmartKeyinside thevehicle.
Arming/disarming ATA (Anti-theftAlarmsys‐
tem)
If thealarmsystemisarmed, avisual and audible
alarmistriggered in thefollowing situations:

Adoor is opened
R
The hood is opened

The alarmisnot deactivated, evenifyou
immediatelyclose theopen door that has
triggered it, forexample.
Arming
#
Close all thedoors.
#
Lockthe vehicle withthe SmartKey.
Indicator lamp 1 in theoverhead control
panel flashes.
Disarming
#
Unlockthe vehicle withthe SmartKey.
Indicator lamp 1 in theoverhead control
panel goes out.

The vehicle locks again automaticallyifyou
do notopen adoor within 40 seconds after
unlocking thevehicle.
Stopping thealarm
#
Press the % or & button on theSmart‐
Key.

Press thestart/stopbutton withthe Smart‐

The alarmstops.

Avisual and audible alarm is triggered if theincli‐
nation of thevehicle changes when thetow-away
alarmisactivated. This can be thecase if the
vehicle is raised on one side, forexample.
