7.4.6.2 Save drive data to backup le
Overview
Run the "Save drive data to backup le" function in the following situations:
• After commissioning
• Before drive data is reset using function "Restore factory settings" in the web server

• Before drive data is completely reset
You can nd more information in Chapter "Reset of all user-dened settings to the factory
setting via an SD card (Page587)".
• Before a rmware upgrade/downgrade
Requirement
None
Procedure
1. Call the "Backup and restore" menu.
2. Click on the "Save drive data to backup le" button.
Optional: Assign a name for the backup le.
The drive data is backed up. The backup le is saved in the download folder of your operating
unit.
Result
• The drive data are not encrypted in the backup le if you deactivated function "Drive data
encryption" in the Security Wizard.
• The drive data are encrypted in the backup le if function "Drive data encryption" is activated
in the Security Wizard and you have congured a drive password.
Recommendation:
– Store the password in a secure location, for example, in a password manager. Ensure that
you can access the password if needed.

Overview
The "Back up parameters" function backs up all converter settings to one le.
