• Series commissioning:
For series commissioning, save the drive data of a source converter and transfer this data to
one or several target converters. You can nd more information in Chapter "Series
commissioning (Page315)".
• Replacing the converter without memory card:
If a converter has to be replaced, restore the drive data of a defective converter via the web
server. You can nd more information in Chapter "Replacing the converter (Page590)".
7.4.6.5 Restoring data from an encrypted backup data
Requirement
• You have an encrypted backup le of the converter on your operating unit.
• Congured drive password:
– You know the originally congured drive password with which the drive data in the
backup le were encrypted.
– You know the currently congured drive password.
This is only applicable if the currently congured drive password deviates from the
originally congured drive password, with which the drive data in the backup le were
encrypted.
• Rights required for active user management (UMAC):
– "Create backup or load drive data to Startdrive"

The following restrictions apply if the password is lost:
• Drive data encryption cannot be deactivated.
• The drive data cannot be restored from an encrypted backup le.
Recommendation:
• Store the password in a secure location, for example, in a password manager. Ensure that you
can access the password if needed.
Procedure
1. Call t
he "Backup and restore" menu.
2. Navigate to the "Restore drive data from backup le" area.
3. Use the "Click to select le, or drag and drop le here" button to select the backup le.
4. To restore the drive data, proceed as described below depending on the specic application.
