8.7.3.2 Conguring Pulse Train Output (PTO) (for the S200 converter only)
Overview
Pulse Train Output (PTO) is referred to as pulse/direction interface. The pulse/direction interface
comprises two signals. The frequency of the pulse output represents the speed and the number
of output pulses for the section to be traversed. The direction output denes the traversing
direction. As a consequence, the position is specied in precise increments.
Requirements
• The drive has been completely created and specied in the device conguration.
• A control (PLC) is created in the device conguration and networked with the drive.
The required technology objects for the control have been completely created in the device
conguration (e.g. "TO_PositioningAxis").
• For activated user management (UMAC):
The function rights for editing drive data are activated for your user account.
Details on this topic are provided in Chapter "Security settings in Startdrive" of Industrial
Cybersecurity Conguration Manual (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/
