A straw retarding curtain G is positioned at the rear of
the rotary separator and above the straw walkers to
prevent the grain from being thrown out of the com-
bine by the rotary separator.

CLEANING SHOE -- Figure 58
The complete cleaning shoe, consisting of shaker
shoes with sieves, cleaning fan and returns system, is
driven by belt A. The drive pulley has a double groove
for an alternative speed of the cleaning shoe drive:
S 600 rpm (groove B) is the factory-set speed
which is suitable for most crops.
S 540 rpm (groove C) is for harvesting brittle
crops and all kinds of small seeds (rape seed,
grass seed, sunflower, etc.)
