COUNTERWEIGHTS
For some attachments counterweights are a legal re-
quirement to ensure a safe road transport.
CAUTION:
Do not use liquid weight (ballast) in
wheels as this is not recommended and
forbidden practice in some countries.
A general rule is to have 20% of the total weight of the
combine (with empty grain tank) on the rear axle to en-
sure a safe road transport of the combine. This can
easily be checked on a weighbridge:
First weigh the combine with attachment (total
weight), then weigh the combine only with the steering
wheels standing on a weighbridge (rear weight).
