Horn Testing
\. Disconnect horn wires fr om harness.
2. Connect a 12-volt battery 10 the horn.
3. If the horn is good. it will sound . I fnol, replace
it.

Disconnect the elect ri cal connector (A. figure
119 ) from the horn.
2. Remove the screws and washers securing the
horn (B. Fig ur e 1 19 ) to the frame. Remove the
horn.
3. Install by reversing these removal Sleps. NOic
the following during insta ll ation.
4. Make sure the electrical conn eclO r is frcc of
corrosion and is tight.
F USES
The fuses arc located under the scaL Whenever
the fuse blows. find o ut the reason for the failure
before replacing
the fuse. Usually. the trouble is
a shori circuit in the wiring. This may be caused
by worn-through insulation or a disconnected wire
shorted to ground.
CAUTION

Fuse Replacement
I. Remove the scat as described in Chap t er
Twelve.
2. Disconnect the
fu se h older ( Fig ur e 110) from
the wiring harness.
