of
this chapter.
FRONT WHEEL
Removal
I. Loosen the front axle pinch boh (
Figure
1) and
the fro
nt
axle (
Figure
2) on the right-hand s
id
e.
2.
Place wood block(s) under the engine and frame
to support the bike securely with the front wheel
o
ff
the
ground.
3.
Remove the front caliper assembly as described
under Front
Brak~
Caliper Removal/Installation
in
Chapter Eleven .
4.
Comp
letely unscrew and withdraw the front
axle (Fig
ure
2) from the right-hand side.
5.
Pull the wheel down and forward to remove.
6.
Remove the
wh
ee
l.
Don
't lose the spacers on
each side.
CAUTION
Do
not set the wheel
down
on
the disc
surface as it may
ge
t sc
rat
ched or
warped.
Set
Ih
e sidewalls on 2 wood
blocks (Figure 3
).
