Always remove the battery from

charging process will corrode

I. Connect the positive
(+)

2. Remove all vent caps from the batter

charger to 12
volls and switch the charger ON. If
the output

the charger is

CAUT

The
electrolyte
level
must
be
maimained
at
the
upper lel'el during
the
charging cycle; check
and
refill
as
necessary.
3.
After the battery h
as
been charged

r about 8
hours. turn the charger
OFF. disconnect the leads
and check the specific gravity of each ce
ll
. It
should be within
th
e limits specified in Table 3.
If
it is. and remains sta
bl
e for I hour. the battery
is
cons
id
ered charged.
4. Clean
th
e battery terminals. electrical cable
connectors and s
urr
ounding case and reinstall the
battery
in
the frame. reversing the removal steps.
Coat the banery terminals with Vaseline
or
s
ili
cone
spr
ay
to retard corrosion and decomposition
of
t
he
terminals.
CAUTION
Roule the
breather

The
tube must be free
of

Battery Installation
