G Risk of injury
A seat belt only offers its intended degree of
protection if the backrest is positioned as
close to the vertical as possible and the oc-
cupant is sitting upright. Avoid seat posi-
tions that do not allow the seat belt to be
routed correctly (
컄 page 259). Position the
backrest as close to the vertical as possible.
G Risk of injury
Make sure that the head restraints are fold-
ed up if the rear seats are occupied. The
back of the occupants’ head would other-
wise be unsupported in the event of a colli-
sion. The persons sitting on the rear seats
would consequently be at risk of injury.
G Risk of injury
Make sure that nobody can become trapped
as you fold the head restraints up and down.
