tem in certain countries and near radio astro-
nomical installations (

Park Assist is an electronic parking aid
with radar sensors and assists you when
parking by:
ì•« giving you a display of the distance be-
tween your vehicle and an obstacle
ì•« giving you an audible warning when you
approach an obstacle
Park Assist is automatically activated
when the engine is running and you shift
the automatic transmission selector lever
to D, R or N.
Park Assist is deactivated at speeds ex-
ceeding 18 km/h. Park Assist is reactivat-
ed at lower speeds.
Park Assist is also deactivated when you
shift the automatic transmission to P or
switch off the engine.
When the transmission is in position N,
Park Assist is deactivated when you secure
the vehicle using the electric parking
brake.
Park Assist detects the area around your
vehicle using four sensors in the front
bumper and two sensors in the rear bump-
er.

sensors, there is a possibility that Park Assist
may also detect the following obstacles and is-
sue a warning:
ì•« objects in the ground, e.g. manhole covers,
rails, road bumps or gutters
ì•« objects moving upwards rapidly, e.g. rolling
service doors
