Loading and stowing
i Roof racks which are recommended for
Mercedes-Benz have been specially developed
and tested.
These roof racks comply with DIN standard
75302 and are additionally subjected to crash
and durability tests.
! Mercedes-Benz recommends that you only
use roof rack systems which have been tested
and approved for Mercedes-Benz. This helps to
prevent damage to the vehicle.
Position the load on the roof rack in such a way
that the vehicle is not damaged during the jour-
ney.
Make sure that you can raise the sliding/tilting
sunroof* and open the boot lid and panorama
sliding sunroof* completely.

왘 Fold up cover 1 in the direction of the
arrow.
왘 Secure the roof rack to the anchorage
points under covers 1.

왘 Fold down the rear seat armrest.

i If necessary, you will be able to open the
cover more easily when the rear seats are in the
basic position.

Observe the maximum roof load of 100 kg
and follow the manufacturer’s assembly in-
structions.
An incorrectly secured roof rack or load
could work loose.
Skibag*
G Risk of injury
The skibag is designed to carry up to four
pairs of skis. Do not use the skibag to carry
any other type of load.
The skibag must always be secured when
laden. Otherwise, injuries could be caused
by it in the event of an accident.
