Resetting NECK-PRO comfort head restraints*
If the NECK-PRO comfort head restraints
have been triggered in an accident, you
must reset the head restraints on the driv-
er’s and front-passenger seats. If this is
not done, the additional protection these
head restraints provide will not be availa-
ble in the event of another rear collision.
You can tell that the NECKPRO comfort
head restraints have been triggered be-
cause they will then be tilted forwards.
1 Reset tool
왘 Take reset tool 1 from the vehicle tool
kit in the boot.
왘 Insert reset tool 1 into the bore hole
at the top of the NECK-PRO comfort
head restraint and between the head
restraint upholstery and the rear trim.
왘 Press reset tool 1 down until you hear
the head restraint deployment mecha-
nism engage.
왘 Remove reset tool 1 from the bore
hole.
왘 Press the upholstery of the NECK-PRO
comfort head restraint back with force
until the head restraint engages.
왘 Repeat the procedure for the second
NECK-PRO comfort head restraint.
i If you have problems when resetting the
NECK-PRO comfort head restraints, have this
work carried out at a qualified specialist work-
shop, e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.
