Front area warning display
1 Left-hand side of the vehicle
2 Right-hand side of the vehicle
3 Operational readiness symbol
The warning display for each side of the ve-
hicle is divided into five yellow and two red
segments. Parktronic is operational if yel-
low information displays 3 under the seg-
ments light up.
The transmission position determines
which warning display is active:
One or more segments light up as
the vehicle approaches an obstacle, de-
pending on the vehicle’s distance from the
obstacle. When the first red segment lights
up, you will hear an intermittent warning
signal for approximately two seconds. Af-
ter the second red segment lights up, you
will hear a continuous warning signal. You
have reached the minimum distance.
Activating or deactivating Parktronic
1 To activate or deactivate Parktronic
2 Indicator lamp
왘 Press button 1.
Parktronic is deactivated if indicator
lamp 2 is lit.
Trailer towing
When you attach a trailer, Parktronic is de-
activated for the rear area as soon as you
have established an electrical connection
between your vehicle and the trailer.
! Remove the ball coupling if the trailer tow
hitch is not required. The minimum detection
range of Parktronic to an obstacle refers to the
bumper, not the ball coupling.

Park Assist*
G Risk of accident
Park Assist is only an aid and may not detect
all obstacles. Park Assist may not be able to
detect an object correctly near corners or
very smooth surfaces. Park Assist does not
relieve you of the responsibility to pay atten-
tion.
You are always responsible for safety and
must continue to pay attention to your im-
mediate surroundings when parking and
manoeuvring. Otherwise, you could endan-
ger yourself and others.
