Problem Possible cause/consequence Suggested solutions
The engine will not start. You cannot hear
the starter motor working.
The on-board voltage is too low because

If the engine does not start despite at-
tempts to jump-start it:
왘 Consult a qualified specialist workshop.
The starter motor has overheated. 왘 Allow the starter motor to cool down for
approximately two minutes.
왘 Restart the engine.
If the engine still does not start:

The engine is not running smoothly and is
misfiring.
The engine electronics or a mechanical
component of the engine control unit have
been damaged.
왘 Only depress the accelerator pedal gen-

왘 Have the cause rectified immediately at
a qualified specialist workshop.
