Anti-theft systems
왘 With KEYLESS GO*: pull the outside
of the door handle.
The key must be outside the vehicle.

왘 Press the KEYLESS GO* button.
The key must be inside the vehicle.
A visual and audible alarm is activated if
your vehicle’s angle of inclination changes
while tow-away protection is primed.
Deactivate tow-away protection if your ve-
hicle:
ì•« is being transported
ì•« is to be carried on another vehicle, e.g.
a ferry
ì•« is parked on a moving surface, e.g. a
car transporter
This will prevent false alarms.
i The tow-away protection alarm is triggered
if the vehicle is jacked up on one side, for exam-
ple.
왘 To prime or deactivate: (컄 page 213).
i Tow-away protection is automatically deac-
tivated when you unlock your vehicle. Tow-away
protection remains deactivated until you lock the
vehicle again.
A visual and audible alarm is triggered if
your vehicle is locked and movement is de-
tected inside, e.g. if:
ì•« somebody smashes one of the side
windows
ì•« somebody reaches inside the vehicle
Deactivate the interior motion sensor if
you lock your vehicle and:
ì•« people or animals remain in the vehicle
ì•« the windows remain open
ì•« the sliding/tilting sunroof*/ pano-
rama sliding sunroof* remains open
This will prevent false alarms.
왘 To prime or deactivate: (컄 page 212).
i The interior motion sensor remains deacti-
vated until you lock the vehicle again.
i The interior motion sensor can only function
correctly if the windows and the sliding/tilting
sunroof*/panorama sliding sunroof* are
closed.
i Do not leave anything, e.g. mascots, hang-
ing on the rear-view mirror or on the grab han-
dles on the roof lining. These could otherwise
trigger false alarms.

Do not leave children unsupervised in the
vehicle. They could open the doors, release
the electric parking brake or injure them-
selves on moving parts, thus endangering
themselves and others.
