The driver’s door is opened and the seat
belt is not inserted in the buckle.
왘 Fasten the driver’s seat belt.
The engine is not running. 왘 Start the engine.
The battery voltage is insufficient. 왘 Switch off all consumers that are not re-
quired.
왘 Wait until the battery voltage has returned
to normal.
The system has overheated. 왘 Wait until the system has cooled down.
The bonnet is open. 왘 Close the bonnet.
Transmission position R has been se-
lected and the boot lid is open.
왘 Close the boot lid.
inoperative HOLD cannot be activated due to a mal-
function.
왘 Have HOLD checked at a qualified special-
ist workshop.
Off HOLD has been deactivated because
the vehicle is skidding.
왘 Reactivate HOLD later.
Replace air cleaner
element
The engine air cleaner needs to be re-
placed.
왘 Have the air cleaner replaced at a qualified
specialist workshop.
* Check trailer coupling
locking mechanism
The trailer tow hitch is not correctly en-
gaged.
왘 Pull over safely to the edge of the carriage-
way.
왘 Engage the ball coupling in the end posi-
tion.
