Automatic air conditioning
왘 To switch on: press the U rocker
switch up or down.
The indicator lamp in the U rocker
switch lights up.

The indicator lamp in the U rocker
switch goes out. The automatic air-con-
ditioning is switched off.
You can control the air distribution

컄 page 215) or airflow manually.
The temperature can be set separately for
each side of the vehicle using temperature
tumbler switches 2 and a.
Vary the temperature settings in small in-
crements only. 22 °C is the ideal tempera-
ture to start with.
왘 To increase or reduce the tempera-
ture: press the temperature tumbler
switch up or down.
The automatic air conditioning adjusts
to the set temperature.
i You can also set the temperature using
COMAND (컄 page 214).
왘 To switch on: press the Q airflow
tumbler switch up or down.
The airflow is increased or reduced.
The indicator lamp in the U rocker
switch goes out.
i You can also set the airflow using COMAND

i You should only retain this setting until the
windscreen is cleared again.
왘 To switch on: press the ; rocker
switch up or down.
The indicator lamp in the rocker switch
comes on.
The automatic air conditioning increas-
es the blower and heat output and di-
rects air to the windscreen and the
front side windows.
왘 To switch off: press the ; rocker
switch up or down.
The indicator lamp in the button goes
out. The previously selected setting is
reactivated.
G Risk of accident
When the automatic air conditioning is
switched off, air supply and air circulation
are also switched off. Only select this set-
ting briefly when the sliding/tilting sunroof*
or panorama sliding sunroof* is closed. The
windows could otherwise mist up. This may
prevent you from observing the traffic condi-
tions, thereby causing an accident.
